Abstract
This poster traces the influences of folklore and literature on F.W. Murnau's 1922 film Nosferatu, as well as traits specific to the film, demonstrating the various portrayals of sexuality, gender identity, and androgyny within existing vampire stories and how these relate to the film. The poster also shows the ways in which Nosferatu influenced the portrayals of sexuality, gender identity, and androgyny in 1994 film Interview with the Vampire.
