dc.description.abstractPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been identified in candle emissions in previous research. The research reported in this poster uses a less equipment intensive (lower cost) method for isolating PAHs in candle emissions. Thin plastic film passive samplers have been used to isolate PAHs and other analytes from water samples. In this study, plastic films were used to isolate PAHs from the gas phase and from candle emissions. The absorbed PAHs were subsequently extracted from the thin films and analyzed using gas chromatography.en_US
