Abstract

The focus of this study was to investigate the effect of trace mineral administration on embryo transfer and artificial insemination success rates in female angus cattle. Angus females between the age of 2-9 years were synchronized utilizing a 7-day Co-Synch+CIDRĀ® protocol. Females were stratified by age in years across 3 treatments (no supplement, oral drench, MultiminĀ® Injection). Embryo transfer pregnancy status by treatment method did not prove to be statistically significant. Artificial insemination pregnancy status was highest for cattle that received MultiminĀ® Injection (P = 0.004).
