This study examined what motivates one to choose CrossFit, what motivates one to continue with the demands of CrossFit, and where the breakdown occurs in motivation causing some to discontinue CrossFit classes by analyzing the Transtheoretical Model for behavior change and the CrossFit design. Furthermore, a survey was conducted with current and previous participants of a CrossFit facility located in San Angelo, TX. The survey provided the necessary information to determine where the breakdown of motivation occurs within the Transtheoretical Model of behavior change causing one to discontinue membership.en_US
