In the Parking Zone... Now that the beginning of a new fiscal year has begun, so has the onset of meetings, conferences, and workshops across the campus.  For this reason, we would like to take a minute to address one of the more prevalent questions we receive from both faculty and staff during the school year.
When can I park in a zone different from my permit?
Anyone with a valid ASU parking permit may park in the "B" or "D" zones any time after 1:00 PM and in the "A" or "C" zones after 4:30 PM.  If the "A" lot is full, you may have to park in one of our "general use" parking lots located on the east side of campus, which are designated for "A/B/C/D" parking.  For more frequently asked questions...
Did you know...
ASU has a network of volunteer personnel that assist with our university's emergency response plans and procedures.  These volunteers, primarily comprised of faculty and staff, are known as our Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) and are trained to execute leadership roles during emergencies. You can find out who your BERT representatives are by viewing the BERT Roster.  We encourage you to get know these individuals, especially in buildings you frequent, before an actual emergency occurs.  For more information...

Horseapples! That's not what you changed your password to on Friday, but what you say when you come in on Monday and can't remember what you set it to.  Fret not fair friends!  We can help.  ASU has a new service called MyPassword that lets you reset your password yourself.  No more calls to the Technology Service Center to have someone reset your password.  Just sign up and, from now on, you can reset your password yourself.  Would you like to know more?

That's Impressive...
Angelo State University has over 2,000 signs campus wide.
Sick Day...  As the cold and flu season is fast approaching, we want to share with you a few tips that could keep you well this season.
  • First and foremost, protect yourself from the flu by getting your flu shot.  These shots are covered 100% by your healthcare provider as long as they are filed as a medical claim.
  • Be sure to wash your hands with soap and water periodically throughout the day, especially after sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose.
  • Try to disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as computers, phones, and door knobs as often as possible.
  • Take time to nurture your immune system by eating healthy, exercising, and getting plenty of rest.
  • And... please stay at home if you are sick.  Your coworkers will thank you.
Ch-ch-changes... Are you thinking about promotional items for your next event?  Well before you purchase those coffee mugs, we wanted to let you know that we made a change to the vendors' artworks approval process.  In order to protect the integrity of ASU's logo, we are asking that all approved vendors send their artwork to art.approval@angelo.edu for final approval prior to production.  Once approved, you can purchase these items via your ProCard or by submitting a requisition.  For more information...
Coming this Spring... You spoke and Chartwells listened.  As you walk around campus this Fall, you will probably see quite a few renovation projects transpiring.  By Spring 2016, Chartwells is anticipating the completion of a fully licensed Starbucks store, the addition of an Einstein Bros Bagels, and the introduction of an ASU exclusive concept that will showcase products from our University's Meat Market.  For more insight on these and future renovations, please contact Jessica Manning in Special Events.
Hear ye, hear ye... We have exciting news for our students!  On September 1st, ASU entered into a contract with Shannon Clinic for the operations and management of the campus' health clinic and student health care services.  Not only will this allow our students to receive all the services they were previously offered, but now they will receive expanded service options at no additional cost, allowing them the same care at Shannon's Urgent Care Clinics, two of which are open daily from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm and are on the Ram Tram weekend bus route.
